FILM ROLL BRAKE CAM
The Dancer Arm and Film Feed Rollers aid in the film unwind process. When the film feed drive system stops,
the Unwind Assist Cylinder powers the Dancer Arm back to the home position.
In this position, the Dancer Arm needs to activate the Brake Air Valve. This is achieved by the positioning of the
Brake Cam. With the Dancer Arm Film Feed Rollers set at the proper distance of 14" from the Frame Film Feed
Rollers as shown in (Figure Six) with the machine turned on, loosen the Cam Set Screw.
Adjust the high side of the Brake Cam to actuate the Brake Air Valve. This will engage the Film Roll Holder
Brake Cylinder to stop the Film Roll Holder. Then secure the Brake Cam in that position by tightening the Cam Set
Screw.
