PHOTOEYES
Cleaning:
Periodicity will be determined in relation with the type of environment in which the machine is installed. It is
important to clean the face of each photoeye and reflector every 2000 hours of operation to get rid of any material
that could induce bad readings.
PNEUMATICS
Air leaks
: During routine checks, verify for air leaks in any pneumatic device. Having no major effects on machine
operation, air leaks often cost more in energy due to repetitive compressor starts.
CHAIN AND SPROCKET MAINTENANCE
Inspect chains and sprockets every six (6) months or as a part of your regular maintenance program. If necessary,
apply grease to chains. The chain tension should be checked on a regular basis. The proper tension for the chain is
approx. 0.015" of slack for every one (1) foot of chain.
FILTER REGULATOR
The FR possesses a Filter, which traps the water contained in the air line. A drain plug is located at the bottom of the
filter section
. (This function should be done automatically and should not have to be touched).
The second
section of the FR contains a Regulator that shows how much air pressure is going into the machine. The pressure
may be regulated by the knob located at the top of the center section of the FR. This pressure should be set at 80 psi
for all Wulftec automatic machines.
