7. Cleaning and Maintenance
Note!
Damage to the surfaces occurs by using the wrong cleaning fluids or detergents.
•
Use only a cleaning fluid that is recommended by Duravit.
•
Never use abrasive, aggressive, or chemical cleaners.
7.1 Disinfecting the whirlpool system
How often?
Disinfect the whirlpool system before using it for the first time, and then after every
tenth bath, and at least one a month and after a long period of no use.
How?
CAUTION! Chlorine bleach irritates the skin.
>
Observe the safety instructions on the disinfectant.
>
Do NOT bathe in the whirlpool tub while disinfecting it.
>
Ensure that the room is well-ventilated during the disinfection process.
>
Fill the tub with water.
>
Add the chlorine bleach to the water in accordance with the manufacturer’s in-
structions.
>
Switch on the air nozles.
>
Allow the water in the tub to settle for 5 minutes.
>
Switch on the air nozles.
>
Drain the water and rinse the tub.
>
Fill the tub with water again.
>
Switch on the air nozles.
>
Drain the water.
>
Repeat the process as necessary.
7.2 Sanitary-grade acrylic
Cleaning
