If the feed speed is too fast or too slow, the speed can be adjusted
by turning the screwdriver flow controls on the cylinder. See Fig.4.

If the log chatters your clamp may be set light or you may be
feeding too slowly into the cutter head. If you increase the clamp
pressure too much you damage the log surface, however do not
sacrifice safety for beauty by decreasing the clamp pressure below
60PSI.

VARI-A-CUT TENON CUTTER

Cutter head can be used as a fixed style cutter or the tenon size can be
adjusted by replacing the aluminum sleeve and the knives with the correct
sized insert kit. The sleeve can be adjusted or replaced by loosening the set
screw on the side of the cutter head.

The most practical method for adjusting the knives is to insert a tenoned
piece and setting the knives against it. If the cutter is too aggressive, then set
the knives  out. If the wood tenons  too slowly, then set the knives in or
resharpen them.

The cutter should throw nice shavings. If it begins throwing sawdust then
the knives are likely dull.

The operator must keep all body parts away from the cutter at all times.

The cutter should not be turning faster than 1200 RPM.
