Station 6 (engine, LH side)
Ø
On the fuel tank, check the fuel level, filler cap closed, both taps open, no trace
of leak, bottom dry.
Ø
Check that there are no leaks below the Main Transmission Gearbox.
Ø
Check the Telatemp.
Ø
Check the three control marks are aligned (on the base of the mast).
Ø
Check that there are no cracks on the exhaust.
Ø
On radiators and fans, check for grass or debris and check for leaks.
Ø
Check all attachment collars for the radiators.
Ø
Check receiving pulley for signs of wear and check there is no oil leak.
Ø
Check the oil level in the oil tank (do not fill above 1/3 of the gauge).
Ø
Check for fuel smell.
Station 7 (main rotor)
Ø
Remove the parking strap from rear facing rotor.
Ø
Check the rotor blades along their full length (leading and trailing edge).
Ø
Check the attachment of the blade tips.
Ø
Check the upper and lower surface of blades.
Ø
Check the absence of any damage.
Ø
Check the cleanliness.
NOTE
The cleanliness of the rotor blades may have important effect on the
performance of the helicopter.
Ø
Check the free tilting of the rotor.
Ø
Check the tilt stop nylon ring.
Ø
Check the free movement of the pitch rods.
Ø
Check all ball joints on the swash plate (greased, not bent).
Ø
Check the condition of the bellows.
Ø
Test the sliding movement of the swash plate.
Ø
Check the condition of the sliding guide.
Ø
Check the absence of cracks and the correct attachment of the drive
collar on the mast.
Ø
Check the absence of leaks at the blade roots (if any, clean).
