Installation:
1. Remove the handset coil cord from base of phone and plug it into the jack on the TRA-900.
2. Plug the connector on the cable from the TRA-900 into the phone where the coil cord was
plugged.
3. Plug the cord from power cube into the TRA-900 and plug the power cube into a nearby 115
VAC outlet.
4. Peel the cover off the adhesive pad on the TRA-900 and mount it on the side of the telephone
base next to the earphone end of the handset when it is hung up after cleaning the area with
the alcohol wipe included. Press it lightly in place on the adhesive pad so it can easily be
moved if necessary.
5. Temporarily install, with light pressure, the silver sticker or “target” on side of the handset
earphone adjacent to TRA-900. Adjust position of TRA-900 housing (raise, lower or slide) so
holes in housing are aligned with target on handset so that when the handset is lifted from its
cradle, the announcement plays. Adjust target position if necessary. When aligned properly,
press adhesive pads of target and housing firmly against phone for permanent attachment.
Operation:
When properly installed, the TRA-900 will automatically play the announcement whenever the
handset is lifted. For outbound calls, be sure to press the button on the unit to trigger the
announcement
after
the call is answered.
