DynaWrite Reference Guide
Transferring a DynaWrite File to a
Macintosh Computer
Before beginning this transfer, connect the
serial cable to the DynaWrite serial port
and to the computer’s serial host port.
Then turn on your computer and open the
DynaWrite Backup and Utility software.
1.
On your DynaWrite keyboard, select
the
Fn
key in combination with the
Silence/Remind
key.
2.
In the
Files
list box (Alt + F), highlight
the file that is to be transferred.
3.
Select the
Transfer
button (Alt + T).
4.
Select the
Yes
button (Alt + Y).
5.
On the computer
, select
Receive File
.
6.
Navigate through the file dialog and
find a place to store the transferred
file.
7.
Select
Choose
.
8.
On the DynaWrite,
select the
Start
Transfer
button (Alt + S).
9.
On the computer,
select
Yes
.
10. When the transfer is complete, select
OK
.
11. Select
File
and then
Quit
to exit the
Backup and Utility software.
12.
On the DynaWrite
, select the
OK
button (Alt + O).
13. Select the
Close
button (Alt + C).
Saving a New DynaWrite File
1.
Select the
Fn
key and the
Menu/File
key on your DynaWrite keyboard.
2.
Select the
Save As
button (Alt + A).
(Use the
Save
button primarily when
you are saving changes to previously
stored files.)
3.
If you want to save the new file to a
specific directory, select the
Files
list
box (Alt + I) use the up and down
arrow keys on your DynaWrite
keyboard to highlight the name of the
directory. Select the
Forward
(Alt + F)
button to open the directory.
Otherwise, continue with the next step.
4.
Select the
File
text box (Alt +E) and
type in a name for your new file.
5.
Select the
OK
button (Alt + O).
6.
Select the
Close
button (Alt + C).
