bottom of your device will include two similar stickers, both the label with the
logo and serial number, and a label listing the distributor’s name, address and
phone number.
On the main label, between the DynaWrite logo and the DynaVox logo, is a small,
circular opening labeled
Reset
. The
Reset
button can be accessed through this
opening. Please refer to
Appendix A
of this manual for important information
about the use of this
Reset
button.
Notice the curved, perforated plastic above the device label. This section houses
the DynaWrite speaker. Surrounding the perforated section is a black plastic
window which encloses the DynaWrite’s infrared hardware. When you teach your
DynaWrite the infrared signals for controlling an appliance like a TV or VCR, you’ll
aim the regular remote control for the appliance at this window. When you use
your DynaWrite as a remote control device, the infrared signals will be transmitted
through this window.
If you look at the front side of the device, you will see five ports, each labeled
with an icon.
The first port on the left is the round
charger port
, where the DC power
adapter/charger can be plugged into
the DynaWrite. This port can be seen
in
Figure 2
.
Caution:
Never connect any other power
adapter to your DynaWrite. This
could result in serious damage to
your device.
The next connector, also shown in
Figure 2
,
is a
USB device port
. This square port can be
used to connect the DynaWrite to a computer
for information transfers.
