When a removable USB storage device is plugged into the DynaWrite’s dual USB
host port, you can access the files stored on the device in the
Files
list box.
When the
Files
list box is set to
DynaWrite
, the list box will fill with DynaWrite
file names. When it is set to
USB Storage
, the list box will fill with the names of
the files stored in the USB device. To change the setting, select the
Files
list box
and then use your up and down arrow keys to highlight the correct option.
When set to
Sound files
, this list box can also display a list of the digitized sound
files that are stored on the DynaWrite.
Back (Alt + B).
The
Back
button is a tool for moving through the available
directories. When a directory of files has been opened, selecting the
Back
button
will cause the DynaWrite to return to the previous directory.
Forward (Alt + F).
The
Forward
button is a tool for moving through the
available directories and files. Highlighting the name of a directory and then
selecting the
Forward
button will cause the DynaWrite to open the currently
highlighted directory.
Load (Alt + L).
Selecting this button loads the currently highlighted file to the
Message Window. Loading a file to the Message Window will overwrite any text
currently in the Message Window.
Save (Alt + S).
This button allows you to create a new file from the text in your
DynaWrite message window. When you are saving a new file, you may give the
file a name and specify where it should be located in the
Files
text box. After a
file has been saved once, selecting the
Save
button will update the file with any
changes and a current date and time.
Save As (Alt + A).
The
Save As
button allows you to save a new version of an
existing file under a new name.
Move (Alt + M).
Selecting this button allows you to move the currently
highlighted file into a newly created directory or other location within the
Files
list box. When the
Move
button is selected a new window pops up, prompting
you to select a new location for the file.
