2.2 Filter
The choice of filter depends, among other things, on the type of contamination and the concentration. The blower
can be used either with only two particle filters, two gas filters or with two combination filters (combination of particle
and gas filter). (See separate instructions for use of the filters).

P = For use against solid and liquid toxic, radioactive and harmful particles as well as microorga-
nisms such as bacteria and viruses.
R
R (reusable) = The particle filter is intended for multiple use and can be used throughout several
working shifts.
SL
SL (Solid Liquid) = The particle filter is designed for use against solid and liquid aerosols.
Gas Filter A, B, E, K, HG
Particle Filter
Prefilter
The pre-filter protects the main filter from premature clogging and handling damage. The prefilter must be inserted
into the prefilter holder. Important! The prefilter can only be used as a prefilter. It can never be used as a replacement
for a particle filter.
2.3 Breathing Hose
The breathing hose is not included in the scope of delivery of the blower or the respective head piece. The breathing
hoses are available separately.
The breathing air hose has a round thread connection for the side that is attached to the blower.
The following connections are available for the other connection side, which is attached to the breath connection:
•
e-breathe Click plug-in connection
g
for overpressure hoods and blower protection suits
•
e-breathe Vario & MM plug-in connection
g
for blower-assisted face shield Multimask and Multimask Pro
•
DIN-round thread connection
g
for full face masks and half masks
2.4 Breath Connections/Headpiece
The choice of the head piece depends on the working conditions, the work tasks and the required protection factor.
See page 57 for available and approved headtops.
The devices are divided into equipment classes according to their respiratory protection performance. The following Table

The specifications also apply analogously to combination filters.
•
VdgW:
multiple of the limit value, DGUV regulation 112-190 Use of respiratory protection devices
•
GW1
are e.g. the limit values in the air at the workplace listed in TRGS 900 - MAK and TRK values (MAK = maximum workplace concentration; TRK = technical
standard concentration).
•
(* 2)
Unless the maximum permissible concentrations for gas filters in blower filter units of 0.05 vol-% in gas filter class 1, 0.1 vol-% in gas filter class 2 and 0.5 vol-%
in gas filter class 3, based on the gas absorption capacity, are already exceeded.
•
Leakage:
Permissible maximum percentage for the total inward leakage
Important!
• Always use two filters.
• The particle, gas or combination filters used must be of the same type.
• Both particle, gas or combination filters must be replaced at the same time in case of a filter replacement.
