performing self-check
5.0 e-Flow Functional Description
By pressing the power button/menu button (round button) the blower is switched on. By pressing the power button
for 2 seconds, the blower is switched off again.
Upon switching on, an acoustic signal sounds briefly, the vibration motor responds briefly and the display lights up.
5.1 System Test
Afterwards, the blower performs a self-check. In this phase, the start
logo is displayed. This process takes about 5 seconds.
If an error occurs during the Self-Check phase, an alarm is shown on the
display with the corresponding error code for 5 seconds. The unit then
switches itself off automatically to prevent the blower from starting up
without correcting the error.
If no error occurs during the Self-Check phase, the display automatically
switches to the main menu.
The main menu displays the following information:
- default airflow mode
- Required number of filters
- battery capacity
- remaining battery runtime
- filter capacity
- Adjusted airflow stage 1- 3
5.2 Main Menu (1)
5.2.1 Default airflow mode
There are 3 modes for the blower, these can be set and changed via the device from software version 2.0 on. For
units with software version 1.0 the modes can only be changed via a PC application.
For more information, please contact www.e-breathe.de.
5.2.2 Number of filters:
Displays the number of filters to be used and the filter type.
For each filter shown in the status line, one filter must be connected to the blower.
5.2.3
Battery capacity and remaining battery runtime
Battery capacity and remaining battery runtime.
For the first 3 minutes, the battery capacity is displayed in percent. Afterwards, the remaining battery runtime in h/
min is displayed. After that, the battery capacity is only displayed by its colour and the number of bars.

Meaning
- 4 green bars = > 75%
- 3 green bars = > 50%
- 2 yellow bars = > 25%
- 1 yellow bar = > 15%
- 1 red bar = < 15%
Hood Mode:
160-180-200 l/min
Full Mask Mode:
120-140-160 l/min
Half Mask Mode:
80-100-120 l/min
5.2.4 Filter Capacity Display
The filter capacity display shows the remaining capacity of the particle filter/particle filter component in a combi-
nation filter.
The remaining capacity of a gas filter/gas filter component in a combination filter cannot be displayed.
As soon as the resistance of the particle filter increases, the display decreases from 100% - 0%.
100% of the display can only be reached by using a fully charged battery and a newly inserted filter.

- 3 green bars = > 50%
- 2 yellow bars = > 30%
- 1 yellow bar = > 10%
- 1 red bar = < 10%
5.2.5 Airflow Display
The airflow can be adjusted with the triangular button on the fan. By briefly pressing the button, the airflow increases
by one stage. It is possible to adjust the minimum airflow from stage 1 to stage 3.
By pressing and holding the triangular button for approx. 3 seconds, the airflow can be reduced by one stage.
The respective level (1-3) is indicated by the filled out fan impeller blades. The airflow in l/min for each stage is shown
below.
If the blower reaches its operating limits and is at stage 2 or stage 3, the blower automatically adjusts down to stage
1 (minimum airflow). This process is performed by the blower to extend the operating time and to prevent a filter
alarm or battery alarm.
In this case, the airflow rate of the blower should not be increased, as the blower may go directly into an alarm at a
higher stage.
The PC software can be used to block airflow adjustment stages. As a result, it is no longer possible to adjust to the
blocked stage. Blocked stages are indicated by a red fan impeller.
For more information, please contact www.e-breathe.de.

Meaning
• 1 green fan impeller = stage
(minimum airflow)
• 2 green fan impellers = stage 2
• 3 green fan impellers = stage 3
(maximum airflow)
• 1 yellow fan impeller = power saving mode
• red fan impellers = stage / stages are blocked
5.3 Standby Function Display
If the blower is not operated, the display switches to standby mode after 20 seconds. The backlight shuts off to save
energy.
By briefly pressing the menu button, the backlight can be reactivated to improve the readability of the display infor-
mation.
For each action, for example when pressing a button or adjusting the volume flow, the backlight is switched on again
for 20 seconds.
