6.2 Cleaning and Disinfection
Important: Care must be taken during the work steps, otherwise there may be damage to the components. For
this reason, only use the procedures described. Other procedures or cleaning agents could damage components.
Important: Do not use solvents (e.g. acetone, turpentine) or bleaching agents (perborate, percarbonate), hot
water, compressed air or pressurized water for cleaning.
6.2.1 Disassembly of the device:
Disconnect the breathing hose, breathing connection, filter, carrying system/belt, battery and all accessories from
the blower.
6.2.2 Clean the breathing hose, breathing connection and all accessories according to the enclosed instructions for
use.
Important: Make sure that no liquid enters the blower during cleaning and disinfection and no liquid comes into
contact with the battery contacts.
6.2.3 Cleaning of the carrying system and blower unit
Commercially available detergent can be used for daily care. Dilute detergent with lukewarm water and wipe off the
parts to be cleaned with a cloth. Heavy stains can be carefully removed with a soft brush. Then wipe the individual
parts dry with a cloth and leave to dry by air. Protect from direct sunlight.
6.2.3 Disinfection of the carrying system and blower unit
The following disinfectants are recommended: PM Desk or Curacid PSA Ultra.
Dilute disinfectant with lukewarm water (mixing ratio see bottle imprint) and wipe off the parts to be cleaned with
a cloth. Heavy stains can be carefully removed with a soft brush. Then wipe the individual parts dry with a cloth and
leave to dry by air. Protect from direct sunlight.
7.0 Storage
Clean the blower before storing it. Remove the filters and battery. Charge the battery before storage, and recharge the
battery in the meantime if stored for a longer period. After cleaning, store the equipment in a dry and clean place away
from direct heat and sunlight. The blower should be stored in a closed container or cabinet, away from dust, light,
chemical vapors and heat sources. A properly stored, unused blower will function even after a long period of storage.
