Rev. 3.0
The choice of filter/combination filter depends, amongst other things, on the type of pollution and the concentra-
tion. The blower can be used either with one particulate filter or with two combination filters.
The following filters are available for the Smartblower:
- PM particulate filter PF 10 P3 R SL,
- e-breathe particulate filter P3 R SL
!!Is still in authorization!!
- PM combination filter CF 32 A1B2E2K2-P3 R SL
Important!
- At least one particulate filter has to be used in any case.
- The used particulate/ combination filters have to be of the same type.
- When exchanging the filter, both particulate/ combination filters have to be exchanged at the same time.
Particulate filter P3
Smartblower is only authorised with the particulate filter of the highest protection class P3 R SL (PAPR-P3).
The filters protect against particles of any type, solid as well as liquid particles.

Combination filter CF 32 A1B2E2K2-P3 (PAPR-A2B2E2K2-P3),
Protects against organic, inorganic and acid gases and steams, such as ammonia, solid and liquid particles, radio-
active and highly toxic particles, microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses.
Table 3
Meaning of additional class labelling:
- R (reusable):
The particulate filter or particulate filter part of the combination filter is intended for multiple uses and can be used
over multiple layers.
- SL:
The particulate filter or particulate filter part of the combination filter is intended for use against solid and liquid
aerosols.
Pre-filter:
The pre-filter protects the main filter against clogging too fast and handling damages.
Put the pre-filter in the pre-filter holder.
Important! The pre-filter can only be used as pre-filter. It never replaces the particulate filter.
Important!
For the accessory of the company e-breathe, please look at the instruction manual of the respective product.
Please read the instruction manual carefully and see over the figures to avoid operation failures.
Assembly of Hoods:
a)
SVE/Battery
In the SVE (control supply unit) contains the battery and the operating system for handling of the blower. The
provided cable is plugged with the grey connector in the SVE and the other side is screwed with the union
nut in the blower.
b)
Belt
Tighten the belt so that the buckle is at the front of the trousers. The hip metal is connected to the belt
(see
fig. 1)
.
c)
particulate filter / combination filter
The blower is put on the hip metal. When using only one filter, the hip metal is screwed directly in the blower
(see fig. 2)
.
When using combination filters, the blower is screwed on the Y-connector; afterwards the filters are screwed
in the Y-connector
(see fig. 3)
.
At least one particulate filter or, with additional accessory (Y-connector), two particulate or combination
filters of the same type and the same class have to be used at the same time.
Particulate filter
- Check if the filer socket of the blower is intact.
- Screw the filter in the filter socket until it fits closely at the seal.
Combination filter
- Check if the seals in the filter socket of the Y-connector sit correctly and are intact.
- Screw the combination filter in the filter socket until it fits closely at the seal
d)
Breathing tube
Read the instruction manual enclosed to the headboard carefully.
- Assemble the breathing tube at the blower
(see fig. 4).
- Afterwards, assemble the breathing tube at the headboard.
- Check if the breathing tube is connected safely.
Assemble at full-face masks:
Read the instruction manual enclosed to the headboard carefully.
