PPP Link Test
Further verification that the link is working correctly an be made by “pinging” the
subscriber radio from the mobile computer:

Activate the Command Prompt screen from the Accessories pull-down list of the Start
menu (see Figure 8.20).

At the prompt, type
ping
followed by the IP address of the radio. In the above example
the IP address 128.1.0.3 s used, and the complete entry is
ping 128.1.0.3
.

Check for one or more replies to the “ping” as in the example of Figure 8.21. This
indicates that the connection is working correctly.
