8. Install the fan by inserting it tail-end first into the
fuselage as shown. The technique is very similar to
parallel parking by backing the assembly in then
moving it forward inside the fuselage.
9. Slide the fan assembly as far forward in the
fuselage as possible without damaging the fan
assembly or fuselage. The front edge of the fan
assembly will fit snugly into the fan intake inside
the fuselage.
10. Use a drill and 1/16-inch (1.5mm) drill bit
to drill four 1/16-inch (1.5mm) holes into the
fan mount in the fuselage that correspond to
the notches in the mounting flanges of the fan
assembly. Position the holes as close to the center
of the assembly to prevent the fan from shifting in
the fuselage.
11. Apply 2–3 drops of thin CA into each of the
four holes to harden the surrounding wood. This
is done to provide a harder surface for the screws
to bite into and will help in preventing them from
vibrating loose.
