• If the cable is damaged during use, disconnect it from the mains immediately. DO NOT
TOUCH THE CABLE BEFORE IT IS SEPARATED FROM THE MAINS.
• Do not start operating the lawn trimmer if the cables are damaged or worn.
• We urgently recommend the use of a residual current protective device (RCD) with no
more that 30 mA in the power outlet when using this equipment.
• Wear eye protection or safety goggles.
• Never permit children or persons not familiar with these instructions to use the
machine.
• Stop using the machine when there are persons, especially children, or pets in the
vicinity.
• Only use the machine in daylight or with good artificial lighting.
• Before operating the machine or after any kind of impact, check for any kind of wear or
damage and have any necessary repairs carried out.
• Never use the machine with damaged or missing protective mechanisms.
• Always keep hands and feet away from the cutting mechanism, especially when you
turn on the motor.
• Be careful not to get injured by any mechanism that serves to cut the cutting cable.
After pulling out a new cable, always hold the machine in its normal working position
before switching it on.
• Never attach any metal cutting elements.
• Never use replacement parts or accessories not provided or recommended by the
manufacturer.
• Disconnect the mains plug before checking, cleaning or working with the machine
and when it is not in use.
• Make sure that ventilation openings are free of debris.
• After use, disconnect the mains plug and check the machine for damages.
• Keep the machine out of the reach of children.
• Electric trimmers should only be repaired by authorised persons.
• The cutting elements continue to rotate after the motor is switched off.
• Keep the extension cable away from the cutting elements.
• Check and maintain the trimmer at regular intervals. Only have the device repaired by
an authorised repair workshop.
• Always hold the trimmer at a safe distance from your body.
• Always wear protective gloves.
• Make sure that there are no persons or pets within 15 metres of your trimming area.
Before using the trimmer, remove any rocks, sticks, toys or other foreign objects from
the area in which you will be working.
• Never reach into the lower part of the device while the power is still connected.
Disconnect the mains plug before attempting to remove or to touch the trimmer string
boss cover.
