6.2 Derating of ampacity
The derating of the maximum total current depending on the ambient temperature is
available for all SCS1000 and SCS3000 modules on request. Please get in touch with
your local E-T-A contact person. Chapter 6.2.1 shows an example of a derating curve
of the SCS3000-64 module.
6.2.1 SCS3000-64
Fig. 7 shows the derating of the maximum total current of the SCS3000-64 over the
ambient temperature.
Cable cross sections must be adjusted to the actual current and the operating
temperature conditions. The temperature behaviour of the device improves
with larger cross sections.
