2. Take the CD out and inspect it for scratches or other
major imperfections.
3. Reinsert the CD into the drive ensuring that the
burning (shiny) surface of the CD is face down.
C. If this occurs during writing, duplicating, or recording do
the following:

2. Take the CD out and inspect it for scratches or other
major imperfections.
3. Reinsert the CD into the drive insuring that the burning
(shiny) surface of the CD is face down.
4. Try duplicating a disc or recording data to the

drive again.
D. If this occurs after pressing the

TANDARD
buttons, do the following:
1. Press

PEN
/C
LOSE
if necessary.
2. Make sure a source disc is in the
S
OURCE
drive, and a
blank CD-RW or CD-R disc is in the
T
ARGET
drive.
3. Inspect the source or blank disc for scratches or other
major imperfections.
4. Reinsert the CD into the drive ensuring that the
burning (shiny) surface of the CD is face down.
If the problem occurs again, contact technical support.
