Checking the fan and the package contents
NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
If you open the packaging carelessly using a sharp knife or other
sharp objects, the fan may become damaged.
1. Remove the fan from the packaging
2. Check the package for completeness (see
Fig. A).
3. Check whether the fan or the individual parts are damaged. If this is the case, do
not use the fan. Contact the manufacturer via the service address indicated on the
warranty card.
Inserting or changing batteries
1. Open the battery compartment cover

(see
Fig. C).
2. Remove the old batteries first if they are still in the compartment.
3. Insert four 1.5 V
, type AA/LR6 batteries into the battery compartment. Make
sure the polarity of the batteries (+/-) is correct.
4. Put the battery compartment cover back onto the housing. Make sure it is
correctly positioned and it is secure.
Power sources
There are two modes in which the fan is powered: via batteries and via a USB cable.
1. To use the fan using the included USB cable, insert the USB plug

into a laptop,
computer, a USB power adapter etc., then insert the power connector

into the

.
2. Battery operation automatically switches off when the fan is powered via the
USB cable.
3. There is no need to insert or remove batteries when using the fan in the
USB power mode.
