Improper use of the sewing machine can cause serious injury.
− Never operate the sewing machine with any air openings
blocked. Keep ventilation openings of the sewing
machine and foot pedal free from the accumulation of lint,
dust, and loose cloth. Keep fingers away from all moving
parts. Special care is required around the sewing machine
needle.
− Always use the proper needle plate. The wrong plate can
cause the needle to break.
− Do not use bent needles.
− Do not pull or push fabric while stitching. It may bend the
needle, causing it to break.
− Switch the sewing machine off (“0FF”) and take your foot
off the foot pedal when making any adjustments in the
needle area, such as threading a needle, changing a
needle, threading a bobbin, or changing the presser foot.
− Always unplug the sewing machine from the electrical
outlet when making any user servicing adjustments as
mentioned in this user manual.

sensory or mental capacities (e.g., partially disabled
persons, older persons with reduced physical and mental
capacities) or lack of experience and knowledge (e.g.,
older children).
− If they are supervised or have been instructed on how to
safely use the sewing machine and have understood the
risks associated with operating it, this sewing machine
may be used by children ages eight and over as well
