Checking the sewing machine and package

NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
If you are not cautious when opening the packaging with a
sharp knife or other pointed object, you may quickly damage
the sewing machine.
− For this reason, be very careful when opening it.
1. Take the sewing machine out of the packaging.
2. Check to make sure that all parts are included (see
Figs. A, B, C,
and
D
).
3. Check whether the sewing machine or any individual parts are damaged. If
this is the case, do not use the sewing machine. Contact the manufacturer
via the service address indicated on the warranty card.
Operating instructions
There are two ways to operate the sewing machine:
• the foot pedal (when the power OFF/speed switch is in the
“OFF” position), or
• the power OFF/speed switch (L stands for low speed while
H stands for high speed)
Installing/changing the batteries
1. Make sure the Power OFF/speed switch

is in the “OFF” position.
2. Turn the sewing machine over onto a flat surface and remove the battery
compartment cover

Fig. D
).
3. Remove any old or dead batteries.
4. Insert four AA batteries (type LR6 (AA) 1.5 V) into the compartment, making
sure the polarity (+/–) is correct, and replace the battery compartment
cover.
Connecting the power adapter and foot pedal
1. Make sure the Power OFF/speed switch

is in the “OFF” position and the
batteries are removed.
