Battery Installation and First Time Setup
This scale operates on 2 AAA batteries (included). Remove any plastic wrap from
the batteries before proceeding. Insert the batteries as indicated by the polarity
symbols in the battery compartment, or place the flat side of the battery against the
spring.
Replace the batteries when the scale indicates '
bAtt
' on the display.
• The scale will turn off after batteries are inserted
• Press the "
q
" key to turn on the scale
• If “
Err0
” is displayed, the scale cannot be initialized for weighing
• If “
bAtt
” is displayed, replace the battery before weighing
• When the scale is turned on after battery installation, the Memorized Weight
data is cleared to zero
• The scale will power off after 20 seconds of nonuse
• The scale is set to kilogram units of measurement by default
NOTE:
1.
A new set of batteries should last for approximately one year under moderate
use (less than 3 times daily). The batteries included with your scale are trial
batteries and may last a shorter length of time.
2.
Dispose of batteries within the legal restrictions of local government.

Batteries may pose a choking hazard. As with all small items, do not let children
handle batteries. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
4.
Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Batteries may explode or leak. Remove the
batteries if the scale will not be used for a long period of time.
5.
Always replace all batteries at the same time; do not mix old and new batteries.
Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (ni-cad, ni-mh, etc.)
batteries.
