Instructions for Replacing the 66A8060 Air Filter

HAZARDOUS VOLTAGES IN AND AROUND TRANS-
FER SWITCH EQUIPMENT CAN CAUSE PERSONAL
INJURY AND/OR DEATH. THE TRANSFER SWITCH
SHOULD BE DE-ENERGIZED PRIOR TO REPLAC-
ING ANY FILTERS.

3/8” socket wrench is the only tool required for this
activity.  The easiest way to replace an air filter is to first
remove the louvered panel containing the air filter.
Once that is accomplished, proceed with the following
steps and associated pictures:

1.0  AIR FILTER REMOVAL

Step 1: Locate the four 1/4-20 screws that secure the
horizontal filter brackets to the vertical filter brackets
(Figure 1).

Step 2: Remove the upper two screws while holding the
upper horizontal filter bracket in place.  Then remove
the upper horizontal filter bracket (Figure 2).

Step 3: Remove the lower two screws while holding the
lower horizontal filter bracket in place.  Then remove the
lower horizontal filter bracket (Figure 3).

Step 4: Slide the air filter down far enough to clear the
vertical filter brackets (Figure 4).  Discard the old filter.
