5.20 LS, value scaling
This function block is available for easy800-SWD from device version 01 and
for easy800 standard devices from device version 04.
The function block enables you to convert values from one value range to
another one.
The function block scales values at input LS..I1 according to the
mathematical relationship you have set, and then outputs the result as a
larger or smaller value at the output at LS..QV. The mathematical relationship
is based on a straight line defined by the coordinate pairs X1, Y1 and X2, Y2
(see under “The mathematical relationship is:”).
A typical application is the conversion of values, such as 0…20 mA to
4…20 mA. A easy800 device is provided with 32 value scaling function
blocks.
Contacts and Coils
The enable coil LS..EN activates the function block in the standard circuit
diagram; when the coil is deactivated, the output QV> is set to 0.

Parametric programming of the function block inputs/outputs
When using the function block in the circuit diagram for the first time, use
OK to automatically enter the general display of function block parameters,
as shown in the figure on the left. Enter the function block settings here.
