Adding a compartmented removable motor starter
•
Remove the spare compartment door by removing the
hexagon socket head screws from the hinges.
•
Open the cable compartment door and remove the
shielding plate from the spare compartment concerned.
•
Mount the terminals that protrude into the motor starter
compartment on the C-section in the cable
compartment and push out the corresponding part for
letting the terminals through on the previously removed
shielding plate.
•
Place the extension unit in the spare compartment.
Ensure that the MCCB or switch-disconnector is in the
OFF position. Secure the unit with the four bolts.
•
Check that the outgoing main power circuit is isolated.

Mount the new door in the reverse of the order
described above for removing the blind door (the new
door and its corresponding lead-through should be
ordered together with the plug-in unit). N.B Bridge the
hinge with a Litz wire
•
Turn each operating panel in such a way that it slides
easily through the designated opening in the door, from
the inside to the outside.
•
Push each operating panel back into the correct
position in the opening in the door; the interlock cams
will now click around the edges of this opening.

•
Secure the operating panel cabling bundle(s) on the
door using the bundle clips.
•
Make the necessary openings in the shielding plate,
mount the plate and connect the outgoing main power
cables.
•
Plug the auxiliary power plugs (at the correct position)
into the terminal strip that protrudes into the cable
compartment (also connect the auxiliary power
connections with the auxiliary bars, if present).
•
Close the door of the compartment concerned and the
cable compartment door.
