Step 3: Move the lock of the switch to the “unlocked” posi-
tion, and install the hook foot into the slot as shown. Slide
the auxiliary switch forward to make the hook foot fully fit
into the slot of the mounting panel. Move the lock to the
“locked” position.

The number of auxiliary switches and shunt trip devic-
es should not exceed four.
Step 4: Connect the auxiliary switch wires to the corre-
sponding secondary terminals marked in Table 1.

Bundle the wires and keep them away from moving
parts.

in Step 1.

IZM9 low voltage circuit breaker latch check switch
(LCS)
WARNING
(1) Only qualified electrical personnel should be permit-
ted to work on the equipment.
(2) Always de-energize primary and secondary circuits
if a circuit breaker cannot be removed to a safe work
location.
(3) Drawout circuit breakers should be levered (racked)
out to the DISCONNECT position.
(4) All circuit breakers should be switched to the OFF
position and mechanism springs discharged.
Failure to follow these steps for all procedures described
in this instruction leaflet could result in death, bodily
injury, or property damage.
Section 1: General information
The latch check switch (LCS) displays when the circuit break-
er is “ready to close” (Figure 1). Connect the wires within
the LCS to the closing coil. The LCS allows for the closing
coil to operate only when the circuit breaker is fully charged
and the trip latch is reset.
Required tools:
• 1/4-inch socket wrench
• 10mm socket
