Figure 6-6: Trip Unit Rating Plug Location
1. Rating Plug
To install a new rating plug, insert the rating plug into the
cavity where the other rating plug was removed. Make
sure the three pins on the rating plug are aligned with the
sockets in the cavity. The rating plug should fit with a
slight insertion force.
CAUTION
TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE RATING PLUG, DO
NOT FORCE IT INTO THE MOUNTING CAVITY.
Use the same 1/8” screwdriver to tighten the M4 screw
and secure the rating plug in the trip unit. The maximum
torque on the mounting screw is 15 in-oz. Close the
rating plug door.

NOTICE
REMEMBER THAT THE TRIP UNIT’S RATING PLUG
AND THE CIRCUIT BREAKER’S CURRENT SENSORS
MUST HAVE MATCHING RATINGS.
The three current sensors are installed at the rear of the
circuit breaker on the lower terminals. A cover with
sensor rating viewing windows covers the sensors and is
held in place with screws (Figure 6-7). Remove the cover
by removing the screws.
