Betrachtung
Die Motorschutzschalter PKE wurden von der TSC (Transport
Safety Consult der TÜV Rheinland InterTraffic GmbH) auf die
Eignung für ein Sicherheitsintegritätslevel (SIL) 2 untersucht,
Bericht Nr.: 401/13101704/002.
Folgende Schritte wurden dazu ausgeführt:
• Risikoanalyse von Gefährdungen, Gefährdungssituati-
onen und Gefährdungsereignissen nach EN ISO 14121,
• Bestimmung des SIL mit Hilfe des Risikographen nach
IEC 61508,
• Bestimmung der Rate gefahrbringender Ausfälle,
• Nachweis der Umsetzung der Maßnahmen gegen syste-
matische Fehler nach IEC 61511.
Grundlagen
Der Motorschutzschalter PKE (Grundgerät und Auslöse-
block) besteht von der Architektur her aus einem einzelnen
Kanal. Bei dieser Architektur führt jeder gefahrbringende
Ausfall zu einem Ausfall der Sicherheitsfunktion, wenn eine
Anforderung auftritt. Somit handelt es sich beim Motor-
schutzschalter PKE um ein 1001 System mit einer hohen
Anforderungsrate (>1/Jahr).
Nach der EN ISO 13849 ist für den Motorschutzschalter eine
Kategorie festzulegen. Der Motorschutzschalter PKE erfüllt
die Anforderungen an Kategorie 2 aus folgenden Gründen:
• Das Auftreten eines Fehlers kann zum Verlust der Sicher-
heitsfunktion zwischen den Tests führen.
• Der Verlust der Sicherheitsfunktion wird durch den Test
erkannt.
Durch eine Risikoanalyse mit Hilfe des Risikographen aus der
IEC 61508-5 wurde für typische Einsatzfälle des Motor-
schutzschalters gezeigt, dass in der chemischen Industrie
nach IEC 62061mit Sicherheitsintegritätslevels von SIL1/2 zu
rechnen ist. Der erforderliche Performance Level (PL
