The air around the UPS must be clean and free of dust, corrosive chemicals, and other
contaminants. The Powerware 9170
+
UPS uses internal fans to circulate the air for
cooling. The air must be free to circulate around the UPS and battery cabinet(s). Do not
operate the UPS in a sealed room or container.
