Possible Cause
Alarm or Condition
The UPS does not provide the
expected backup time.
The batteries need charging or
service.
Apply utility power for 48 hours to charge the
batteries. If the condition persists, contact your
service representative.
Battery circuit breakers are in
the OFF (O) position.
Switch all battery circuit breakers to the ON (|)
position.
Power is not available at the
UPS output receptacle.
The UPS is in Standby mode.
Supply power to the connected equipment: Press
any button to display the menu options. Select
TURN UPS ON/OFF, TURN UPS ON, and OK to
confirm. Press and hold OK for 3 seconds, until the
UPS stops beeping.
The REPO switch is active or the
REPO connector is missing.
Reset the REPO switch and restart the UPS. Verify
that the REPO connector is present.
The UPS does not start.
The main utility breaker is off.
Verify that the main utility breaker is on.
The power cord is not
connected correctly.
Have a licensed electrician check the power cord
connections.
The batteries or electronics
module is being replaced.
Complete the replacement procedure before
starting the UPS.
The REPO switch is active or the
REPO connector is missing.
Reset the REPO switch and restart the UPS. Verify
that the REPO connector is present.
The UPS does not turn off.
The batteries or electronics
module is being replaced.
Complete the replacement procedure before
shutting down the UPS.
The UPS operates normally,
but some or all of the
protected equipment is not
on.
The equipment is not connected
to the UPS correctly.
Verify that the equipment is plugged into the UPS
receptacles.
Output circuit breaker is in the
OFF (O) position.
Switch output circuit breaker to the ON (|) position.
Battery test pending.
A battery test is in progress.
Wait until the battery test completes. To cancel a
test in progress, see “Testing New Batteries” on
page 108.
Battery test failed.
The batteries need service.
Contact your service representative.
Battery test did not run.
The bypass utility was not
present or was not within limits.
Verify that the bypass utility is available and within
limits.
Batteries were not fully
