Controller RS-485 CNET configuration
Each PRC-E Series controller must have a unique address
when networked with other PRC controllers. The address
range is 1 to 120. Also, a 4-character alphanumeric name
can be assigned that can be used to identify the controller
on the network along with a 20-character alphanumeric
description of the controller.
Click the “System Configuration” tab.
Click the “Version” tab within this Web page.
This opens the controller setting Web page.
Editing the controller name
Click the “Name” text box.
This opens it for edit. Type in the chosen 4-character name
for the controller.
Editing the controller description
Click the “Description” text box,
This opens it for edit. Type in the chosen 20-character
description for the controller.
Editing the controller “Address”
Click the “Address” text or dropdown arrow.
This opens a dropdown list of addresses.
Scroll down the list and click to choose the address needed
for the controller.
Once all the controller configuration edits are complete,
click the “Save Changes” button to save the changes.

A red “Changes are pending!” message indicates
that a change was made and has not been saved.
Controller Ethernet network configuration
PRC1500E and PRC2000E controllers include Ethernet
communications. Each controller must have a static IP
address, Subnet Mask and gateway assigned to connect
across most Ethernet networks. The MAC address, which
is a unique device identifier embedded in the device, is also
displayed and is used in some network configurations to
improve network security.
