5 Take XSoft-CoDeSys-2 into operation
The connection of a SWD line via the SWD gateway EU5C-SWD-DP to the
controller XC200 is described in this chapter.
Please check beforehand whether you have a current XSoft-CoDeSys-2 ver-
sion installed with the necessary GSD files.
Please note the list of abbreviations, as the XSoft-CoDeSys-2 PLC program-
ming environment uses different designations from those used in this man-
ual in certain cases
5.1 Installing the GSD file in XSoft-CoDeSys-2
We recommend working with the project-specific GSD file, as it already
includes the assignments between the modular EU5C-SWD-DP field bus
module and the SWD modules on the SWD line in order to make your work
easier.
Likewise you can use the standard GSD file

Copy the standard GSD file or the project-specific GSD file to the folder
intended for storing the standard GSD file.
In the case of the XSoft-CoDeSys-2 Eaton programming system, this
folder will be found on your computer under:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\CAA-Targets\<Version>\PLCConf
where <Version> is the installed configurator version e.g.,
"Moeller V2.3.9."
After doing this, you will be able to use the project-specific GSD file just
as you would the standard GSD file.

Start the XSoft-CoDeSys-2.
▶
Install the GSD files in XSoft-CoDeSys-2 with the
"Tools" -> "Select configuration file" menu option.
