5.4.1 All Call
Setting amplifi er Unit ID to 31 will set the amplifi er as
an All Call amplifi er, which means it will respond to any
zone broadcast requests from 2Mx. The illustration
below shows the same 350-d setup as above during
Zone 1 broadcast, but with amplifi er #3 set with and ID
of 31/1 (All Call):

All-Call amplifi ers are typically used as either a Hot
Standby Amplifi er or used in conjunction with Post
Amplifi er Switching (see 5.4.2).
5.4.2 Post-amp switching
A Sonix 350-d amplifi er can be used to support multiple
acoustic zones, using Post amplifi er switching. This
involves confi guring an amplifi er as All-Call allowing it to
broadcast into multiple zones, then controlling the audio
routing using a set of relays.
