Ignites the gas+air mixture from the burner and starts combustion.
2- Detect if there is flame in the burner.
Impact in Case of Malfunction
1- There may be no ignition or combustion due to excessively increased or decreased
distance between the ends of the electrode.
2- The device may produce noise while burning due to delayed ignition (back flash).
3- The ionization current may be reduced due to the electrode moving away from the
burner and there may be flame
loss in the boiler at certain times.

1- Visual Inspection: Remove any oxidization, etc. on the electrode rods using a piece of
cloth.
2- Check the electrode measurements.
3- Check the ionization current.

Electrode Measurement Checks
A) The spacing between the electrode rods should be 9.5 -10.5 mm.
B) Measure the distance between the two ends of the electrode. It should be in the
3.5 - 4.5 mm range.
C) The closest distance between the electrode rod and the burner should be in the
6.5 - 8.5 mm range.

Ionization Current Check
Turn on the combi boiler. After tu rning the device on, enter the Information mode "In”.
Enter the I09 information parameter. Wait this parameter for 2 minutes and ensure that the
ionization current reading on the LCD screen is at least "40" or above.
