Teletext controls
Teletext is an information system transmitted by certain stations that can be read as you would a newspaper.
It provides access to subtitles which make viewing easier for the hearing impaired and people without
knowledge of the language in which the program is broadcast (cable networks, satellite channels etc.).

Toggles teletext mode on/off . An overview with a list of available items is displayed.
Each item has a designated three-digit page number. If the current channel does
not transmit teletext, “100” will be displayed and the screen will remain empty (in
this case exit teletext and select a diff erent channel).
PAGE SELECTION
Enter the number of the desired page using the numerical buttons 0 through 9 and
up/down arrows. Example: to display page 120, enter 1, 2 and 0. The page number
is displayed in the top left corner. The counter indicates page browsing and once
the desired page is loaded, it will be displayed on the screen. Repeat these steps to
display a diff erent page. If the counter does not stop and continues to count, this
means the respective page is not broadcast. Select a page with a diff erent number.
DIRECT ACCESS TO
ITEMS
Colour coded abbreviations to certain pages are found in the bottom segment of
the screen. The colour coded buttons on the remote control are used to directly
access these pages. If an item or page is not available, the colour coded fi eld fl ashes.
BUTTON
This button returns you to the list page.
BUTTON
Some pages contain so called subpages, gradually displayed one after another in
an automatic way. This button is used to pause or resume the fl ipping of subpages.
A paused subpage is indicated in the top left corner.
BUTTON
Freezes the page.
BUTTON
Displays hidden information (e.g. solutions to quizzes).
