GENERAL SETUP page
There are six items on the GENERAL
SETUP page: TV SCREEN, ANGLE MARK,
LANGUAGE, CLOSED CAPTIONS, SCREEN
SAVER and LAST MEMORY.
TV SCREEN
If the player is connected to a regular TV
set, you should select
4:3 PANSCAN
or
4:3
LETTERBOX
. The screen will show picture
with its native 4:3 aspect ratio.
4:3 PANSCAN
: The TV displays widescreen
image in its original aspect ratio, part of
the picture will be cut on the left and right
sides.
4:3 LETTERBOX
: The TV displays
widescreen image in its original aspect
ratio with black bars on the top and bottom of the screen.
16:9:
If the device is connected to a wide screen TV set, you should choose this option. The screen displays
full widescreen image in its original aspect ratio. Picture 4:3 will be stretched horizontally to fi ll the screen.
ANGLE MARK
Set this item to
ON
. When playing a disc where scenes are recorded from diff erent angles, the angle mark
appears on the screen. In such case, you can press [
ANGLE
] on the remote control to switch to alternative
scene with a diff erent camera angle. Hide the mark by pressing
OFF
.
OSD LANGUAGE (On-Screen display language)
Set the language of the menus of this device with this option.
CLOSED CAPTIONS
Set this item to
ON
, when playing a disc, which contains captions for the hearing impared. Set this item to
OFF
to hide captions.
You can also hide or display subtitles by pressing [
SUBTITLE
] on the remote control.
NOTE:
This feature works only with the discs which contain closed captions.
SCREEN SAVER
ON
: In case of several minutes fi xed image on the screen, e. g. during pausing a playback, the screen saver
appears on the screen. Press any button to exit screen saver.
OFF
: The screen saver function is deactivated.
LAST MEMORY
ON
: When you open the disc compartment during playback or pause in playback, the device memorizes
the point of playback interruption. When you next insert and load the disc, the playback starts from the
memorized point.
OFF
: Memory function is deactivated.
