SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read carefully and save for future use!
Warning:
The safety measures and instructions, contained in this manual, do not include all conditions and
situations possible. The user must understand that common sense, caution and care are factors that cannot
be integrated into any product. Therefore, these factors shall be ensured by the user/s using and operating
this appliance. We are not liable for damages caused during shipping, by incorrect use, or the modifi cation or
adjustment of any part of the appliance.
Fundamental precautions shall be observed when using the product, including the following:
1. Make sure the voltage in your outlet corresponds to the voltage provided on the appliance label and
that the socket is properly grounded. The outlet must be installed according to valid safety instructions.
2. The outlet must be easy to access after plugging in the device.
3. Do not use an appliance with a damaged cord or plug, that fell or is otherwise damaged or operates
improperly. If the power cord is damaged, immediately unplug the device and have the power cord
replaced by a qualifi ed service centre.
4. Do not immerse the appliance or power cord into liquids, do not expose to rain or moisture and use only
in accordance with these instructions.
5. The product is intended for household use only, not for outdoor use or commercial use.
6. Do not bend the power cord over the edge of a table or other sharp edges, do not twist them or leave
them in the vicinity of hot surfaces.
7.
Do not plug or unplug the power cord with wet hands. Do not pull the cord to unplug.
8. Do not leave a running appliance unattended.
9. Do not immerse the appliance into water or other liquids, not even partially.
10. Do not use a wet or moist slicer, if you have wet hands or are standing on a wet fl oor.
11. Use the slicer in its working position in areas where there is no risk of tipping the appliance over, and far
away from heat sources (heater, stove, oven etc.) and moist surfaces (e.g. kitchen sink, bathroom sink
etc.).
12. Only use approved accessories with the appliance. Using other accessories can be dangerous for the
operator.
13. Protect the appliance against climate conditions (sunlight, rain) and freezing temperatures.
14. Use the slicer for processing thawed foods only! Do not slice dry, hard bread and other baked goods,
smoked meats with bones or meats with bones, fruits with hard seeds, food wrapped in aluminum foil
or plastic wrap.
15. Keep your hands away from the blade area. Use the sliding tray to move food towards the blade and the
safety push guard for small pieces.
16. Make sure the blade is well anchored before plugging in the appliance into the electric outlet.
17. After you are fi nished using the appliance and prior to any maintenance work, disconnect the appliance
by unplugging the power cable from the electric outlet.
18. Always disconnect the power supply of the appliance when you intend to adjust the slice thickness or
remove the blade.
19. Allow the rotating blade to come to a full stop before removing the food.
20. The blade is very sharp! Be very careful when handling the blade (e.g. removal, cleaning).
21. If the sliced food begins to get caught on the blade, switch off the appliance and clean the blade.
22. Use the appliance only for the purposes described in these instructions. The manufacturer is not liable
for damages caused by the improper use of this appliance and accessories.
23. This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and power supply away from children.
The appliance can be used by the physically and mentally impaired or by individuals with insuffi
cient
experience and knowledge, if supervised or trained to use the appliance in a safe manner and understand
potential dangers. Children shall not play with the appliance.
Do not immerse the appliance body in water!
