Never cover the appliance with tea towels or similar objects. Danger of overheating.
8. Keep
suffi
cient distance from sources of heat, e. g. fi replace or oven.
9. Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces or lead the cord over sharp edges.
10. Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids. Make sure that the power cord or the electrical
outlet do not come into contact with water or do not become wet. If the appliance falls into water, unplug
it immediately. Do not try to pull the appliance out of the water if it is still plugged in!
Risk of injury
11. Keep the appliance and packaging out of the reach of children and pets. Danger of injury or suff ocation.
12. Keep your head, hands, hair, jewels and clothing out of the reach of rotating parts of the appliance.
13. Do not reach into the hopper and do not try to push the foods deeper. Use the pusher only to move
foods.
14. The blades and the attachment edges are sharp! Use increased caution when changing attachments.
15. Before inserting or removing an attachment, unplug the appliance. When inserting or removing
attachments, touch only the plastic surfaces.
16. Keep the appliance out of the reach of children! If used in the presence of children, the children need
careful supervision.
17. The appliance may not be used if it is damaged in any way.
18. Use accessories only recommended by the manufacturer, otherwise you risk losing the warranty.
19. Use this appliance only in accordance with the instructions in this manual. This appliance is designed for
home use only. The manufacturer is not liable for damages caused by the improper use of this appliance.
20. This device shall not be used by persons (including children), whose physical, sense or mental inability or
insuffi
cient experience and skills prevent him from safely using the appliance, if they are not supervised
or if they have not been instructed regarding the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their
safety. Child supervision is essential to prevent them from playing with the device.
21. In the following events, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet:
•
when you prepare to insert or remove any attachment,
•
when you will not use the appliance for a longer period of time,
•
before thunderstorm and
•
before cleaning of the appliance.
Safety instructions regarding health risks
22. Some residues originating during manufacturing may adhere to your appliance. To avoid harmful eff ects
on your health, clean the appliance thoroughly prior to fi rst use (see the chapter “Cleaning and storage”).
23. Do not use spoiled foods. Never store foods longer than is their expiration date as marked.
24. Clean the appliance after each use, to prevent bacterias from multiplying, see chapter “Cleaning and
storage.”
Notes for the user
25. Always check the appliance for damage before you put it in operation. If the appliance, the power cord
or the wall outlet show visible signs of damage, the appliance may not be used. Do not use the appliance
if it is faulty, or if it fell into water.
26. In case that the appliance, the power cord or the plug are damaged, do not try to repair it by yourself. In
case of damage, contact an authorized service center.
27. The appliance must not be used in enclosed spaces.
28. Place the appliance on a dry, even and fi rm surface, heat resistant and suffi
ciently distant from fl ammable
objects. In case when needed, place a heat resistant pad under the appliance.
29. Make sure that the power cord is placed in such a way that people will not step on it. Do not let the
cable hang over the edge of a table or kitchen counter, somebody may brush against it and overturn the
appliance.
30. Do not pull or carry the appliance by the power cord.
31. During the operation of the appliance do not insert any objects (spoons, knives, etc.) in the hopper or
rotating attachments.
