The red power On light is on if the
sandwich toaster is connected to
the outlet.

The green ready to cook indicator switches on as soon as the appliance is ready to cook.

The lid latch automatically secures the appliance upon closing.
BEFORE USINg FOR ThE FIRST TIME
1. Remove the packing material and all labels from the appliance.
2. Clean the toasting plates with a damp towel or sponge.
3. Spread a piece of butter or a little oil over the toasting plates.
4. Plug the sandwich toaster into the outlet, the red power On light will come on. As soon as the green
ready to cook indicator comes on, the toasting plates are sufficiently warmed up.
5. The appliance is ready for preparing toasted sandwiches.
Note:
When using the sandwich toaster for the first time, a small amount of smoke may be given off. This is
normal for the internal parts of the product are being heated for the first time.
chaNgINg ThE TOaSTINg PLaTES
1. After opening the sandwich toaster, press the thumb latches for changing the plates, loosen the plates
and remove.
2. Insert the interchangeable plates that you want to use by pushing them in until they click.
Do not replace the toasting plates while operating the appliance! The appliance must be cool and
disconnected from the outlet!
PREPaRINg SaNDWIchES
1. Prepare the filling for your sandwich. You will need two slices of bread and a suitable filling for each
sandwich.
2. To achieve an even better golden-brown color, you can smear some butter on the side of the bread that
is in contact with the toasting plate.
3. Place the side of the bread slice with butter on to the bottom toasting plate, insert filling and cover the
with second bread slice with the buttered side up. Only one sandwich can be toasted on one toasting
plate at a time. For optimal results, make sure the filling is placed correctly between the slices of bread.
4. Carefully shut the top toasting plate on to the sandwich and fully close the sandwich toaster.
5. Open the sandwich toaster after 2-3 minutes and check that the sandwich is sufficiently toasted. If
you like a crispy and well-toasted sandwich, the length of preparation depends on the type of bread,
ingredients used and your own personal taste.
