Assembling
Drive shaft installation
First stage of assembling is coupling of the power transmission shaft.
1. Lock bolt.
2. Drive shaft tube.
3. Rear handle.
4. Socket.
5. Flexible shaft.
6. Connector.
Place the engine on a flat surface.
Remove the two covers from the flexible tube.
Loosen lock bolt with spanner wrench.
Insert the flexible shaft with the spacer into the socket gradually and fully.
- The socket is assembled on the drive shaft tube and located inside of the rear handle.
- The spacer that is located at the end of the flexible shaft prevents the shaft tube from
loosening off.
Insert connector into socket and tighten lock bolt securely using spanner wrench.
Second stage is coupling of the flexible shaft and the engine.
1. Release knob.
2. Flexible shaft.
3. Drive shaft.
4. Locking hole.
Insert the flexible tube housing into the engine with the locking hole facing up.
- For easier coupling, pull out the flexible shaft about 4 mm more in advance.
Lift up release knob and slide flexible tube housing all the way in until it bottoms in the case
and the release knob locks into the locking hole in the flexible tube housing.
Loop handle installation
1. Front (Loop) handle.
2. Handle bracket.
3. Shaft tube.
4. Four bolts.
5. Nuts.
6. To engine.
Assemble loop handle and bracket to shaft tube assembly.
Position handle in comfortable operating position and tighten four bolts.
Throttle linkage
1. Ground lead.
2. Stop lead.
3. Throttle cable.
4. Wire end.
5. Swivel.
6. Inner cable.
7. Cable cap. 8. Nuts. 9. Bracket.
As the engine is delivered with throttle cable (engine side) unconnected, assemble the cable
to carburettor as follows.
Loose nut from throttle cable.
Insert throttle cable through the bracket as shown.
Replace nut finger tight, install the cable cap and attach the inner cable to swivel on throttle
lever.
Connect the stop lead.
Check that throttle operates freely and returns to idle position.
CAUTION
Install the handle so that it does not hide any of the safety decals.
CAUTION
Completing assembly, adjust the play of wire end on carburettor side to 1 - 2 mm.
