Installing the DSL Home Gateway
Placing the DSL Home Gateway Horizontally on the Desk
The following figure shows a DU8245W home gateway horizontally placed on a desk.
Mounting the DSL Home Gateway Against the Wall
1.
Mark the positions of two holes used for mounting the DSL home gateway, and ensure that the
two holes have the same spacing as the two mounting holes.
2.
Select a proper drill according to the outer diameter of the screws. Use this drill to drill the marked
positions on the wall. Then, clean the wall and install two expansion bolts.
3.
Use a screwdriver to fasten the screws into the expansion bolts, leaving the heads of the screws 3
mm over the wall. Then, install the DSL home gateway.
Ensure that there are no obstacles, such as concrete or wooden walls, between the
computer and DSL home gateway.
Ensure that the computer and DSL home gateway are far from electric appliances that
generate strong magnetic or electric fields, such as microwave ovens.
Keep 10 cm clearance on all sides to ensure adequate ventilation.
