4. FRONT PANEL
The following elements are available on the ePLAYER1’s front panel:
SD/SDHC slot (11): connector for SD/SDHC memory cards, up to 32GB. FAT16/32 format.
USB port (12): connector for USB memory devices, up to 32GB. FAT16/32 format.
SP/STBY LED (3): signal present/ stand-by indicator.
NET LED (4): network activity indicator.
LCD screen (1): menus display, player information, etc.
Digital encoder CONTROL & SELECT (2): navigation through menus, parameters selection, etc.
ESC key (5): escape (returns to main display). Access to lock menu (holding).
ENTER/MENU (6): main menu & setup menu (holding) access.
PREV/RW (
) (7): previous track in the play queue. It also allows navigation through menus.
STOP (
) (8): it stops the current reproduction.
PLAY/PAUSE (
) (9): plays/pauses the playlist/track loaded (toggled function).
NEXT/FF (
) (10): next track in the play queue. It also allows navigation through menus.
5. STARTUP
ePLAYER1 has been designed in a way that it can be used as a local media player, with no need of
additional software. However, Ecler recommends to setup ePLAYER1 through its web application to enjoy all its
functionalities. Please, consult chapter 6 to know all these features.
Connect the power supply in the rear panel to turn on the device. The LCD display will show a message
during the unit’s boot up process.
Please, check
the device’s firmware and software application versions. They should be updated to the
last version to guarantee that all features in this manual are available. Visit www.ecler.com to download
them.
5.1. Main Menu
ePLAYER1’s main menu allows playback adjustments, such as source selection, recalling presets, etc.
Press ENTER/MENU (6) key to access the main menu.
Navigation through the different items of the menu is made by means of the keys NEXT/FF (
) (10) and
PREV/RW (
) (7), moving to next or previous item respectively. Once the item to adjust is selected, the rotary
CONTROL & SELECT (2) encoder allows the adjustment of the different parameters by its rotation. Last selection
will begin to blink until it is confirmed by pressing the CONTROL & SELECT (2) encoder. If a different item is
changed (NEXT/FF (
) and PREV/RW (
) keys), or the menu is left by pressing ESC (5) without confirmation,
changes will not apply, except for volume changes, which are made in real time.
Press ESC (5) key o leave the menu.
The following items can be found in the main menu:
SOURCE: audio source. It allows these sound sources selection: the USB device (USB), the SD/SDHC
card (MMC), DLNA device (DLNA), AirPlay device (AIRP) or one or more playlists, configured by the
user (see chapter 6 for further information). If the selected device cannot be found, cannot be read, o
the connection is not available (DLNA/AirPlay), the LCD display will show the message:
UNAVAILABLE.
PRESET: preset recall (configuration memories). It allows the selection of one among 20 user presets.
Consult chapter 6 for more information.
VOLUME: volume control.
It allows real time adjustment of the player’s volume. 0dB is the maximum
value. Press the CONTROL & SELECT (2) encoder to MUTE the player. Press again to deactivate
MUTE.
