STOPPING THE VAPORIZER - DIVISION 2 MODELS
1. Turn the ON\OFF switch(es) to the
OFF
position on the vaporizer control
panel.
2. Close the manual outlet shutoff valve.
3. Extended period shutdown requires closing the liquid propane withdrawal
valve at the storage tank while there is demand on the system. This allows
the pressure to bleed out of the system. Turn power off at the Main
disconnect and shut the manual outlet valve at the vaporizer. Drain the
system at the strainer to get rid of any accumulated oil and “heavy ends”.
NOTE
Whenever the vaporizer has been turned off and allowed to cool,
the entire STARTUP PROCEDURE must be repeated. Liquid
carryover and a safety shutdown can result from failure to follow
this procedure.
NOTE
When shutting down the vaporizer, always shut off the vaporizer
outlet isolation hand valve.
REPLACING & COMPATIBILITY OF CONTROL BOARDS
There has been many different part number for the control boards due to
obsolete parts and improvements. All the control boards operate in the same
manner are compatible with the previous versions. Here are most of the
previous part numbers that were used, oldest to new:
Control board PN: 51199 has limited compatibility to the follow control
boards. Control board PN: 51199 can be directly replaced for Division 2
by the following control boards so long as there is no option and is not
explosion proof. For vaporizer with options or are explosion proof the
module on J1 needs to be replaced by a new wire assembly.
For explosion proof without Auto Restart use wire assembly PN: 50920.
For explosion proof with Auto Restart use wire assembly PN: 51343 with
control board 53050-3 and above.
For explosion proof with Economy use wire assembly PN: 50921 with
control board 53050-3 and above.
