Auto Restart Testing

The Auto Restart feature is standard on Division 2 models and as of  September
2004 ( ASDI PN:  53050-3 Boards and above ) the Auto Restart feature is
standard on Division 1 models as well.  The Auto Restart automatically restarts
the vaporizer after a power failure when the power switches in the on position.

To test the Auto Restart, start the vaporizer and open the outlet hand valve.  Go
to the power Main disconnect that provides power to the vaporizer and shut it off.
Keep it off for five seconds or more.  Turn it back on.  The vaporizer should
restart and be in normal operation.  The annunciator on the control board will
display an

“A”

.  Whenever you see an

“A”

, you know that power has failed at

one time or another during operation and it has restarted.  To reset the display
set the toggle switch to OFF and back ON.  The display will now show an

"L"

meaning that the unit is operating properly.  The vaporizer will shut down on any
failure.  Caution should be taken at this point since once the fault is cleared the
vaporizer will Auto Restart when the power is cycled.

NOTE

Division 1 Vaporizer built before September 2004 ( ASDI PN:  53050-
2 Boards and below ) - Will have an explosion proof toggle switch in
place of the Stop Button.  This allows the user to set the toggle
switch to the off position to prevent the vaporizer from Auto
Restarting when first turning on the unit from the Main disconnect.
Once the toggle switch is set to the ON position the vaporizer will
start.  Division 1 Vaporizer build September 2004 ( ASDI PN:  53050-
3 Boards and above ) - Will no longer require the explosion proof
toggle switch in place of the push button.
