Vaporizer Repair and Troubleshooting
NOTE
Refer to Data Sheet and drawings that came with your unit during
troubleshooting to determine correct readings for various test
procedures. A reference note will direct you to the Data Sheets as
necessary.
The vaporizer control board has a built-in “First-Out” annunciator to assist in
pinpointing problems with vaporizer operation. If the vaporizer shuts down, the
annunciator will indicate what safety or operational condition caused the
shutdown. You can use that information and the following procedures to track
down the cause of the problem.
If the vaporizer has been operating and has shut down, do not reset until you
have opened the control box and recorded the fault indication of the annunciator
readout. Use the following troubleshooting procedures to find the cause of the
shutdown.
If the vaporizer will not start, cycle the power and then press the
START
switch.
Now open the control box and check the annunciator readout. Use the following
troubleshooting procedures to find the cause of the problem.
A standard electronic multimeter is necessary for many of the diagnostic tests.
WARNING
Do not tip the vaporizer or the control box on its side when power is
on at the disconnect! This could cause run-away heating of the
vaporizer.
WARNING
High voltage is present on the vaporizer. Disconnect the supply
circuit before servicing this unit.
