Safety
2.1
General
All connection, adjustment, maintenance and repair procedures must be carried out only
by qualified professional personnel, with the device switched off (disconnect the mains
plug!) and not under pressure.
2.2
Indications
The highlight symbols shown here have the following meanings:
WARNING
means that failure to observe operating instructions, working instructions, required
work sequences etc., or failure to observe these correctly, may cause injuries or
accidents.
CAUTION
means that failure to observe operating instructions, working instructions, required
work sequences etc., or failure to observe them correctly, may lead to damage to
equipment.
IMPORTANT
Used when particular care must be exercised when handling the equipment.
NOTE
is used to draw a specific point to the reader's attention.
2.3
Safety Information
The
DryExx
®
metering stations must only be used in conjunction with control units as

maintenance and repair tasks are carried out on parts that are in contact with the

conveyor belt lubrication and cleaning material, or when changing the hopper
reservoir, safety regulations for the handling of chemical substances must be observed.
2.4
Special Safety Instructions
The
DryExx
®
Advanced
control systems may be used on
120-500 V
alternating voltage
50/60 Hz. The safety guidelines on the handling of electrical equipment are to be
followed for maintenance and repair work.
2.5
Special safety notes for maintenance and repair work
WARNING
The power supply must be interrupted before all maintenance and repair work
(disconnect the mains plug!) Electrical repairs may only be carried out by electricians!
Always rinse the pump's metering head, depressurise the pressure pipe and don
protective clothing (safety goggles, safety gloves and apron) before any maintenance
and repair work and before metering dangerous media.
When conducting maintenance and repair work on parts that come into contact with
conveyor belt lubricants, as well as when changing the storage drum, the safety
guidelines on handling chemicals (see the safety data sheet for the applicable
chemicals) must be followed. Live parts may be uncovered when opening covers or
removing parts (with the exception of covers that can be opened or parts that can be
removed without using tools).
IMPORTANT
Only original spare parts are used for repairs!
