OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
BLUETOOTH DONGLE
FOR CONNECTION WITH THE ECTIVE APP
Function
With the ECTIVE BT 1 Bluetooth Dongle, you can monitor the status of your
ECTIVE solar charge controller or battery booster from your smart device,
using the free „ECTIVE Charge“ app. The BT 1 is intended for use with the
following ECTIVE MPPT devices:
• ECTIVE Battery Boosters: BB30, BB60, SBB 30, SBB 60
• ECTIVE MPPT Solar Charge Controllers (Generation 2/2021):
DSC 12, DSC 25, SC 20, SC 40
Connection
Plug the cable of the ECTIVE BT 1 Bluetooth Dongle into the appropriate
connector on your device. Place and fix the BT 1 in a convenient and easy-
to-access location. Please note that the optimal distance between the BT
1 and your phone is within 10m and that any metal objects between the
Bluetooth Dongle and your phone may block the signal.
Using the App
Note: if the „Link“ LED is lit, the device has correctly connected. If the LED is
flashing, there is currently no Bluetooth Connection.

Search for and download the „ECTIVE Charge“ app for
your Android (5.0 or above) or iOS (4.0 or above) device.
Make sure the „Location“ and „Bluetooth“ features are
activated on your phone.
Run the „ECTIVE Charge“ app.
The app will automatically
search for any compatible
nearby devices. Tap the device
you want to connect to. Please
note only one phone can be
connected to the Bluetooth
Dongle at any given time.
You can now monitor the status
and working parameters of your
device from your phone, as well
as check for any possible errors.
