Topology
The network connectivity and topology can be defined on the PoP node when the
local controller is enabled. After defining the topology, the PoP will find the nodes
and set up links automatically. To configure a topology, all nodes and links must be
defined.
Node Setting
Node setting allows you to define all the nodes in the topology, including the PoP,
DNs, and CNs. The information relative to the PoP node is populated automatically.
For all remaining nodes, you have to specify the node name, node type, node MAC,
and radios’ MAC addresses. The mapping of radios to MAC addresses must be
precise, or the links might not be established due to incorrect signal direction.
Figure 13: Topology Nodes
◆
Name: The name of the node. It is defined automatically based on the node
type, but can be modified afterward.
◆
Type: Set the node as Distribution Node (DN) or Client Node (CN).
◆
Node MAC: The system MAC address of the node. For a DN, the system MAC
address can be found on the device’s label or on the Dashboard tab. For a CN,
use the radio MAC as the node MAC.
◆
Radio MACs: The MAC addresses of the radios. Please follow
” when matching radio names and MAC addresses.
