Determining the capsule’s
expiry date
To determine the capsule’s expiry date, you must first establish its date
of manufacture. The manufacture date is determined by three clocks
stamped on the underside of the child restraint. These clocks can be
read as follows:
Clock 1
Numbered 1-30
Clock 2
Numbered 1-12
Clock 3
6 sequential numbers
This is the day of
manufacture.
This is the month of
manufacture.
This is the year of
manufacture.
This example shows a child restraint with a manufacture date of
15 October 2021.
The Avery Capsule has a 7 year life from its date of manufacture.
Therefore, this example has an expiry date of 15 October 2028.
The Avery Capsule must not be used if it has passed its expiry date.

The date above is an example only and does not indicate the
manufacture date of the capsule purchased with this manual.
