13. Adjusting the mowing height
There are two di
ff
erent Toadi and Toadi Pro versions, one with a manual mowing height
adjusting system and one with an electronic mowing height adjusting system, called the
Da Vinci’s Pencil. Toadi’s from serial number 600 onwards have the Da Vinci’s Pencil.
13.1 manual height adjustment
To adjust the mowing height you need to replace the mowing disc. There are following
disc available:
•
For a mowing cutting height of 1.53 inch or 3,9 cm.
•
For a mowing cutting height of 1.77 inch or 4,5 cm (installed by default).
•
For a mowing cutting height of 1.97 inch or 5,4 cm.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of serious personal injury or death, always disable the device
before adjusting the cutting height of the mowing blade.
NOTICE
To avoid overloading the motor, avoid setting the cutting height too low in tall grass. If the
motor speed begins to slow, raise the cutting height.
WARNING
Always wear heavy-duty, non-slip work gloves made of leather or another wear
resistant material when adjusting the mowing height.
How To?
1. Hold the mowing disc with one hand (! Always
wait heavy-duty gloves) and unscrew the nut in
the centre of the mowing disc with your other
hand.
2. Remove the nut and the mowing disc. Make sure
the pin stays inside the mowing motor shaft.
3. Place the new disc and align the pin so that the
pin goes inside the mowing disc.
4. Hold the mowing disc with one hand (! Always
wait heavy-duty gloves) and screw the nut in the
middle of the mowing disc with your other hand.
